What's going wrong
A site owner using this plugin reports that edits to the inline featured image are not saved on most posts, and an error appears saying the meta value could not be updated in the database. Only some posts are affected, which makes the cause unclear to the owner. The reviewer noted that the same problem has been discussed on other platforms for about a year. Site owners with large archives of posts are most likely to notice missing edits. A tool that scans posts for failed metadata writes and repairs them could help these owners recover their content.
