Terms for buyers

These terms apply when you buy a problem's lead (its contacts) or its idea report on Triremes. Triremes is owned and operated by Pigfox LLC (pigfox.com), and Pigfox LLC is the seller.

What you buy

For one problem: each business found to have it, with the email address the business published as its own and the page where it was published. You get them on a page at a private link, with a CSV download. The link never expires; bookmark it, because it is your only access to the list. We email you a receipt with the link, never the list itself.

Lawful use only

You may use the contacts only to offer the business something relevant to the problem, and only as the law where you and they are allows: among others, CAN-SPAM in the United States and the GDPR and ePrivacy rules in the European Union. That means, at least: say who you are, make your message relevant, honour every request to stop at once, and never send a business more than it has agreed to receive.

No resale

The contacts are for your own use. You may not resell, rent, publish or share them, or add them to a list for anyone else.

Idea reports

An idea report is our research on one problem: our full summary of it, how many reports it is based on and when the first and last were made, the products those reports are about, how many reports came in each month, and related problems. It contains no contacts. You get it on a page at a private link that never expires. It shows the report as it was when you paid and is not updated afterwards.

You may use an idea report for your own business, including to decide what to build or offer. You may not resell, publish or share the report itself.

Website visibility gaps

A purchase of website visibility gaps is one business website, with the business's name, its website, the page where it publishes a contact, and what Triremes measured on its homepage, with the date. The measurements read the HTML each site's server sends, without running JavaScript, and were true when they were measured; a site may have changed since. They are not a judgement of any business. You get it on a page at a private link that never expires, with a CSV download, as it was when you paid.

Your outreach to these businesses is yours, and so is making it lawful: you follow the laws on marketing messages where you and they are, such as CAN-SPAM in the United States and GDPR and PECR in the EU and UK, including honouring any request to stop. You may not resell, publish or share the purchase itself.

All sales are final

Because the contacts are delivered the moment you pay, all sales are final and there are no refunds. Check the problem page — it shows how many businesses were found — before you buy.

This applies to idea reports too. The free problem page shows the tier, the number of reports and the first sentence of the summary, so check it before you buy.

Payment

Payment is by card through Stripe, to Pigfox LLC. Your receipt names Triremes, and your card statement shows TRIREMES. Triremes never sees your card. Stripe gives us your email address so we can send you a receipt with your page's link.
