What's going wrong
Site owners using this WordPress export plugin report that basic functions such as exporting users, filtering, media, tags, or even importing are locked behind the paid Pro edition. Many found out only after installing and reaching the export step, so the free tier feels useless for their real tasks. Reviewers describe the upsell as a trap that wastes time and erodes trust. The gap points to an opportunity for a clear, honest comparison of which features each tier includes, plus a lightweight export tool that covers everyday basics without a surprise paywall for owners who need only simple data dumps.
