What's going wrong
Many site owners report that the forum turns into a blank white page after they update WordPress or switch to a newer theme such as Twenty Twenty-Three. Some say the search results and forum pages stop rendering, and that only a helper style plugin brings content back. Reviewers say the failure is silent: nothing points to the cause, so they spend days comparing themes and plugins. Hosts and small agencies running community sites are most affected. An opportunity exists for a compatibility checker and staging test service that runs a bbPress site against new WordPress releases and themes before the owner updates.
